To the History of the Collection of Works by Lesya Ukrainka in 12 Volumes (1927–1930)

Abstract

. The article deals with Olena Pchilka and B. Yakubsky’s collaboration
on the preparation, textual ordering and publication of a complete collection of Lesya
Ukrainka’s works in 12 volumes (1927–1930). It has been established that Olena
Pchilka helped the writer in working on manuscripts («City of Sadness. Silhouettes»,
«Voice Strings», «Pity», «Boyarynia»). Thanks to Olena Pchilka’s comments to
«Sadness City» of Lesya Ukrainka it was identified her unknown draft stored in her
fund (F.28) at the Institute of Literature No. 228 in a folder of 30 unpublished and
unwritten manuscripts.
